I googled remedies for what I was experiencing and came across this blog of a lady who had taken a few natural supplements and one was the Estro Block®. I just turned 39 and this is not what I want to deal with as I’m getting older. I never had this problem and would not like to have it ongoing. My question is, I also take birth control pills-NORGESTREL AND ETHINYL ESTRADIOL TABLETS, USP (Cryselle) a totally “synthetic progesterone” and “synthetic estrogen derived from horse urine”. I wanted to know if it is safe to take with the Estro Block®?

Yes, not only is Estro Block® safe to use during the use of birth control pills, it may be one of the best ways to protect one from® the potential and dangerous side effects of the “Synthetic Pill” because Estro Block clears these dangerous bad estrogens while restoring the good estrogens. I would also, if I were you, consider the use of the Liv D’Tox™ as it will work synergistically with Estro Block® to clear other forms of harmful metabolites of estrone. There is actual more synthetic estrone (the bad estrogen) in synthetic hormones. The benefit of Estro Block® is that it may reduce some of the symptoms or problems created by birth control pills.

What are other potential side effects of birth control pills?

According to NIH The following adverse reactions have been reported in patients receiving oral contraceptives and are believed to be drug related: Nausea – vomiting – gastrointestinal symptoms (such as abdominal cramps and bloating) – breakthrough bleeding – spotting – change in menstrual flow -amenorrhea – temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatment – edema melasma which may persist – breast changes (tenderness, enlargement, secretion) – change in weight (increase or decrease) -change in cervical erosion and secretion – diminution in lactation when given immediately postpartum – cholestatic jaundice -migraine – rash (allergic) – mental depression – reduced tolerance to carbohydrates – vaginal candidiasis – change in corneal curvature (steepening) -intolerance to contact lenses. The following adverse reactions have been reported in users of oral contraceptives, and the association has been neither confirmed nor refuted: Acne -changes in appetite – cystitis-like syndrome – a headache -nervousness – dizziness – hirsutism – loss of scalp hair – hemorrhagic eruption – vaginitis – impaired renal function – changes in libido

One patient said the hormonal based IUD caused PMS, bad acne on her face and back, and worst of all, “I gained 20 pounds in one year!”

Q. How easy is it the restore my hormonal balance after being on years of birth control pills, synthetic anabolic steroids or hormones?

The body works in balance under ideal conditions with hormones acting like a well-tuned symphony. Our body biochemistry requires certain herbs and phytochemicals that our genetics have learned to depend on for thousands of years. Then because of such “innovations” as fast processed overly cooked foods loaded with GMO and artificial chemicals that change the balance of hormones we have increased the incidence of acne, estrogen dominance and certain forms of cancer. When your body gets what it needs from a healthier diet, exercise to burn fat, and supplements such as Estro Block® rich in phytochemicals to rebalance the hormones, the symptoms of hormone imbalances often go away.

I’ve been doing your program morning and night for about 6 months and it hasn’t made a difference. I was previously on birth control.

Rather than just taking one capsule per day, increase e to 4 capsules per day or even 5 per day with each serving spread about 4 hours apart. After years of taking birth control, it certainly can take several months to bring the body back into balance. Birth control pills come from horse urine. This concentrates into certain forms of harmful estrogens deep into the fatty tissues of your body. Fortunately, you no longer have to take birth control pills and ill effects can occur even years after unless you completely detoxify the body. So consider using Cell Stabilizer (Liv Dtox™) in combination with another round of Estro Block PRO®, particularly if you are more than 15 lbs. above your ideal body weight.

I want to get pregnant; is Estro Block® safe after I have been on the birth control pills for years?

Estro Block® or Estro Block Pro®, or Liv DTox™ contain GRAS (generally regarded as safe) ingredients. Under ideal conditions, when a woman plans to become pregnant, she must be following a healthy whole unprocessed foods diet. Also, nature did not ever plan for women to take synthetic birth control pills. Many doctors feel that increasing your cruciferous vegetable intake, which can be augmented by one capsule a day of Estro Block® can help reduce the dangers of birth control pills.

The safety of cruciferous vegetables during pregnancy has been verified by animal studies being given high dosages of cruciferous phytochemicals have successfully reproduced. Dr. Joel Furhman at his website goes further and explains the safety of cruciferous vegetables as it relates to thyroid function and there is no harm caused to the thyroid function.

It is suggested that a reasonable dose of iodine (See RAD Iodine™ in suggested use chart) be taken to assure improved estrogen metabolism while cleansing harmful estrogens from the body. Once pregnant for liability reasons we must officially say it is best to be cautious and wait the 9 months until after delivering to take Estro Block®. We can say many women have checked with their doctors and they felt Estro Block® would be safe during pregnancy or nursing. These women were successful in becoming pregnant.

Can I nurse my baby while taking Estro Block®?

As always, check with your health professional before beginning any supplement during pregnancy. That being said, yes. Stay within the suggested dosages of a person under 150 lbs, that is two capsules taking one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening with a meal.

Is it normal to start a period female cycle at the age of 12 to 16?

No, although it is common now for young girls to start their periods sooner. Prior to changes in the diet towards a more western high-fat diet, Japanese girls did not start their menstrual cycles until the age of twenty or twenty-two.

In countries like Argentina and Brazil, where they consume beef laced with hormones that are high in fat and fried foods, girls have been found to start their periods as young as 7 years old! Our kids should be raised on a healthy whole foods diet and if needed with supplements such as Estro Block® for brief periods until premature symptoms of hormonal imbalances such as acne clear up.

Are young boys affected by hormonal imbalances?

Yes, young boys are now developing breasts and suffering from obesity due to high estrogen levels. Young men lose their ability to mature into healthy, viral men. Have your boys eat healthy foods, exercise, and take Estro Block® at in suggested amounts for those under 180 lbs.

Will the cruciferous vegetables in Estro Block® affect my thyroid?

The concern about raw cruciferous vegetables or Estro Block® affecting thyroid has not been shown to be a problem. To be safe, we like to encourage those with symptoms of low thyroid function to take a survey at under Delgado club (see wellness survey the section under thyroid). If you answer yes above symptoms over 2 or 3 or 4 then gets a full thyroid panel that includes Free T3. If low, consider proper natural treatment with iodine as in RAD Iodine™ and T3 with T4, like in Westhroid.

So there would be no increase of estrogen level after the consumption of Estro Block®, right?

There is no compound that contains estrogen in Estro Block® or Estro Block Pro®. Estro Block® provides Cytochrome P450 Enzymes to metabolize or reduce toxic forms of “bad” estrogen such as unmetabolized 16aOHE that tend to increase the risk of certain forms of cancer such as prostate cancer. As this form of estrogen is reduced to the safer forms of estrogen such as 2OHE the ratio improves thereby improving one’s health.

This 2-hydroxestrone that increases with the use of Estro Block® is a completely harmless form of estrogen that has protective factors, and allows the body to function at its best. In this case, it is good to have more good than bad estrogen when it comes to estrone. Overall, you will not see an increase in the commonly measured estrogens such as estradiol, estriol, or estrone in men. There is a beneficial increase in women of the estriol and the ratio of 2OHE to 16aOHE.

My doctor, a dermatologist, has never heard of this estrogen hormonal connection to acne. What is the technical answer he or she will understand?

Estro Block® and LivDTox™ improve liver enzyme interactions; the modification of estrogen metabolites also produces an ultimate state in which more of the 2-hydroxyestrogens relative to 16a-hydroxyestrogens and 4-hydroxyestrogens results in less overall estrogenic actions in vivo. This is due to induction (activation) of the estradiol-2-hydroxylase enzyme, an enzyme that converts estrogens and estrone to their 2-hydroxylated form which is seen as chemoprotective and in some cases anti-estrogenic. This then allows healthy ratios of estrogen, sex hormone binding globulin and improved levels androgens. Specifically, the DHT reduces, no longer having to compete with high levels of unmetabolized estrone or estradiol.

Why do doctors often ignore estrogen and think it is best to suppress androgen levels with synthetic hormones or dangerous drugs?

The original theories about the cause of acne were based on the assumption that the androgen hormones were the only cause of acne. However, later I observed the complex interaction of estrogen and its effect on androgen. Doctors wanted to suppress the androgens without knowing the origin of acne. We now know there is a complex balance of the hormones influenced by phytochemicals, diet, and lifestyle to solve the mystery of acne. Doctors often depend on education from drug reps teaching them that the drugs cover up the symptoms instead of getting to the cause of the problem!

Is there a simple solution to acne and other hormonally related disorders?

A Simply Healthy diet and exercise plan will help restore youthful levels of testosterone, Estriol, and DHEA while allowing a reduction to safer levels in DHT, androstenedione, free testosterone and insulin. The skin and other organs then respond as they are no longer a toxic dumping site for overstimulation of hormones.

My gynecologist thinks I might be starting peri-menopause. Can I still take Estro Block®?

For pre-menopause women, if your levels are proven low by hormone testing and your estriol is considerably lower than Estrone & Estradiol. Then you may notice benefits from the use of progesterone cream and Estriol cream in conjunction with Estro Block® which using Estro Block® will ensure that most of the restoration of estrogen balance will come from the good forms of estrogens (2OHE as measured in the urine), then the bad forms of estrogen (16aOHE).

What other issues may also resolve besides acne using Estro Block®, Liv DTox™, TestroVida™, Adrenal DMG™, Progesterone cream, Stay Young™ and soon to be released Estro Block® Cream in conjunction with your Simply Healthy diet and Delgado Protocol for Health™ plan?

Users of the above program have found resolution or improvement of the following: Polycystic ovary syndrome ( PCOS), Infertility, ovarian cysts, mid cycle pain, puffiness and bloating, cervical dysplasia (abnormal pap smear), rapid weight gain, breast tenderness, mood swings, heavy bleeding, anxiety, depression, migraine headaches, insomnia, foggy thinking, red flush on face, gallbladder problems, and weepiness. Estrogen excess leads to building more lining within the endometrium (uterus lining) leading to excess bleeding, which leads to millions of unnecessary hysterectomies.

Is this effective for people without hormonal acne?

Estro Block® assists in balancing hormones that become excessively high from an improper diet or chemical exposures such as xenoestrogens, genetic tendencies and other factors that contribute to unbalanced hormones. Women who are concerned about hormonal weight gain, fibroids, uterine cysts, breast lumps or growths, hair loss, or in men with prostate problems can take Estro Block®.

What will help with PCOS?

Studies show that people with PCOS tend to have high androgens, specifically high DHEA and high androstenedione. This converts either into the bad estrogens and/or converts into DHT and testosterone on the skin as the chart illustrates in an appendix.

A combination of Estro Block®, Liv DtoxTM and estriol cream (we recommend life-flow) would be most effective to inhibit that action.

Additionally, a diet that cuts out fatty meats, oils, and dairy/cheeses will help tremendously as studies show that in cultures (like those in Papua New Guinea, Africa and parts of Asia) consuming diets low in fat and high in plant foods have almost no instances of acne, PCOS, etc.

What results have been reported using the ingredients in Liv DTox™ with Estro Block® and a healthier diet?

The ingredients of Liv DTox™ are highly supportive of a healthier immune system. Some individuals (under their doctor’s guidance) appear to have shown reduced PSA levels, while others have reported fibroid, cyst or tumor reduction when combining the ingredients of LivDTox™ with a mostly vegan, raw unprocessed food diet free of sugar, separated fats, meats or dairy. Pilot studies are in progress with encouraging updates.

Can I take Estro Block Pro® with Liv Dtox™ if I have cancer of any type?

Clearly, with cancer, you must see your doctor. That being said many doctors now understand that eating vegetables and using more cruciferous based natural supplements will help even patients on chemotherapy. Those patients on tamoxifen have noticed reduced symptoms or drug side effects while using Estro Block®, or Estro Block Pro® with Liv Dtox™ (cell Stabilizer).

Can elevated levels of androgens, particularly DHT and androstenedione, cause hirsutism (abnormal hair growth in women), alopecia (hair loss) and acne?

Although it is true that elevated androgen levels will increase symptoms such as acne etc., the drug approach will cause side effects. The more natural solution to acne with your doctor’s permission is to get the cause of the problem. The Delgado Protocol teaches that hormones work in certain balance, catabolic must balance with anabolic, the adrenals and cortisol levels are affected by androgens which are influenced by estrogen levels.

Who has improved their skin or cleared up acne with Estro Block®?

See Tracy’s story on The Love Vitamin, see bloggers such as Fran Kerr and several others with excellent results. These people are not paid by us and discovered Estro Block® by word of mouth. See for more actual stories.

Are the critics of Estro Block® sincere?

Avoid self-proclaimed experts or “Einsteins” who do not understand hormones and primarily promote drug therapy to control acne.

Why do most doctors, dermatologists, bloggers and scientist ignore your discovery that acne is principally caused by hormonal and estrogen imbalances?

I think this natural approach is ignored or forgotten because there are so much attention and advertising focused on medications, antibiotics, synthetic hormones, Proactiv, benzoyl peroxide and other harsh forms of expensive therapy sponsored by pharmaceutical companies who spend millions educating doctors on their drugs.

What other doctors or scientists have made the connection to excess circulating and urinary estrogen levels that change androgen ratios being the major factor leading to acne and Estro Block as a supporting solution?

Other doctors including Jonathan Wright MD, as interviewed in the book I’m Too Young for This by Suzanne Somers, Ron Rothenberg, UC San Diego Professor, Thierry Hertoghe, MD Sangeeti Pati, MD and Naina Sachdev MD have made this discovery that excess levels of harmful forms of estrogen is a leading cause of acne. Products like Estro Block® and the additional support protocol of supplements with a healthier diet can help clear up your skin.

Dr. Eugene Shippen in his book Testosterone Syndrome and lectures to medical doctors at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) clearly states that estrogens can be 100 times more potent than testosterone, yet DHT is potent enough to co-exist with estrogen. Estrogen dominance alters androgens and may be the cause of your acne!

What should I tell my doctor about Estro Block®?

A. Encourage your doctor to find out about this all natural approach to clearing up the acne and other related disorders associated with hormonal imbalances by having your doctor call us or visit our website

Aren’t there cheaper high-quality estrogen blockers at natural food grocers that will have the same results?

There may be some Estro Block® mimics. Often times, to reduce their cost, they mask or hide the most important ingredients into what is called a “blend.” Beware that, in the long run, you are paying far more money without getting the deep level of cleansing necessary. The competitors that we have analyzed in the less than $25 category have ONLY 25 mg of DIM because their blend lists 100 mg including other fillers and ingredients.

Estro Block® Regular I3C has 4 times more DIM and for only $9 more per bottle. Also, the added ingredient I3C is in the perfect ratio to DIM in proprietary combinations with special assisting ingredients. Look at the comparison charts in the Appendix section.

IS IT WORTH the added $10 to use Estro Block Pro®, Triple strength?

Yes, many of customers believe so, because of Estro Block PRO® not only contains the largest amount of DIM on the market per capsule, it also has wasabi root which is 40x higher in isothiocyanates than broccoli and other important ingredients that may detoxify one ‘s body and colon at the deepest level. When you’re getting good results, stick with what works. IF Estro Block® regular is working for you, then stay with that.

Estro Block® has a very strange potent smell? Is that normal?

That is the natural smell (almost like “moth balls”) of a high-grade indole-3-carbinol-I3C and Diindolylmethane DIM from cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and kale. This smell is normal. The stronger the smell the more effective the product. Other products have far less potency because they are masked in blends (like broccoli powder) and filler ingredients that offer little or no benefit. Our products are free of fillers, excipients, stearates, and other artificial ingredients that sometimes mask these natural scents.

Can elevated insulin levels cause acne? And which foods are the worst for my insulin control?

Yes, the worst foods that increase insulin levels and acne are cow’s milk, cheese, eggs, butter, oils of all types, meat of all types including chicken, fish, and pork. Even a completely vegan plant-based diet that includes sugar and oils or high-fat tofu and excess processed foods can promote acne as they can alter hormonal balances of estrogen which increase in the gut in the presence of excess separated fats (fats removed from their natural fiber). The reason is dramatically illustrated in a video on on a series of experiments soon to be released on How to become Diabetic in 6 hours.

Does the glycemic index results change based on a healthy low-fat diet? Which foods are proven to be best for our skin?

The original studies on glycemic index and foods effect on insulin have been proven wrong. In his classic studies, Dr. Anderson first compared people on a typical high-fat western diet then he put people on a low fat, unprocessed foods diet for two weeks. He then he measured the study subjects’ glycemic index based on glucose tolerance testing. Guess what Dr. Anderson discovered? The glycemic index for carrots, potatoes, beans, rice, fruit and several other complex carbohydrate foods were perfect for sustaining human blood glucose levels which can improve our beauty from in affecting our skin.

Are Paleolithic diets the best to control blood sugar and insulin levels?

Be careful of those who think they understand insulin resistance, promote Paleolithic diets or fatty diets from animal products, or who think the glycemic index is the “gold standard” for diabetes or food selection.

The top hormonal therapy doctors agree on the science of Dr. James Anderson, an endocrinologist from the University of Kentucky who proved the glycemic index was wrong when it was based on the starting point of white bread as the standard to compare, and the excessive use of fats in the first study subjects. These foods are the best know source of proteins for humans (not outdated rat studies) that can be absorbed without harming insulin or hormonal balance. They are yams, purple sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes of all varieties, golden Yukon potatoes, beets, squash, asparagus, soaked nuts, soaked seeds, chia seeds, peas, brown rice, lentils, beans, all vegetables, most fruit and small amounts of whole sources of fat such as coconut and avocado.

The vegetable foods that will improve hormonal balance to help prevent estrogen dominance and acne are those rich in DIM and other important phytochemicals in foods prepared raw or steamed with less water. Sources of DIM per half cup: Brussels sprouts 104 mg, garden cress, mustard greens, turnips, savoy cabbage, kale, watercress, kohlrabi, red cabbage, broccoli, horseradish, cauliflower, and bok choy 19 mg.

What books can I read to learn more about healthy diets to reduce acne?

Read “Going Raw: by Judita Wingall (reverse acne with raw food), Grow Young and Slim and Stay Young by Nick Delgado, and Simply Healthy, McDougall’s Opinion, The Starch Solution by Dr John McDougall MD and Reversing Diabetes by Julian Whitaker MD and Forks over Knives by Neal Barnard, Live Longer Now and The Pritikin Promise by Nathan Pritikin

Will my gut health affect my skin?

Yes, take sauerkraut, dairy free yogurt from coconut, and Korean Kim Chee, along with probiotics.

Should I take drugs to suppress DHT such as Spiro lactone, fine astride for acne?

Would it be best to suppress the DHT with drug therapy like spirolactone or would it be better to bring the estrogen back into its correct ratio? Our theory is that reducing harmful forms of estrogen will allow testosterone to be restored to a better ratio of 3 to 1 part DHT, thereby getting to the cause of the problem.

Will this natural approach work better than drug therapy?

There is no way to predict how well each person will respond to the natural approach. You can start on this natural approach with the potential for positive results. Later you can decide with your doctor if you need to temporarily add any drug or cosmetic procedure therapies. Some people use both drug therapy and they transition over to the natural approach as they gain confidence and see results.

Will antibiotics or corticosteroids be my best course of therapy for acne?

Antibiotics may help short term, yet you cannot be on antibiotics the rest of your hormonal cycling life without serious side effects. A few days of cortisone type therapy will work prior to a wedding or special occasion when you need a fast solution. Give this Protocol a good 6-month trial. Drugs often need 3 to 6 months and some even some take one year. I believe that some people may take one to two years to really balance their hormones properly. Of course, this balancing act can occur much more quickly with our guidance.

Can stress or drugs such as Lithium, isoniazid, diphenylhydantoin cause acne?

Yes, there are several drugs that can cause acne. Check with your doctor to use our natural approach. Stress is a factor best controlled in my opinion and experience by listening to daily Laser Focus Concentration audio scripts located at under Articles: Motivation to reduce stress and feel in control of your life and self- esteem.

Why do you suggest the use of Adrenal DMG™ for acne clients?

Adrenal DMG offers methylation from dimethylglycine to assist the liver in several important biochemical reactions the body must undergo every day. There is a need for adrenal support to help fight acne related stress. Adrenal Cortex and several herbs to improve the immune system are critical to overall good health to establish beauty from within.

I found out about Estro Block® while googling on the internet for the hormonal breakouts I feel I’m experiencing. A year ago, I had some sort of eye infection and finally, after no resolve was put on some steroids – I started prednisone. This was not good for me. It caused my skin to react and I started having terrible breakouts starting on my forehead. I’m a picker so you can imagine the combination was NOT good!! I have since then been battling breakouts. I have never had bad skin or acne so this has been awful for me.

IF you are under stress try using Adrenal DMG™, a natural way to support the adrenal glands without the risk of prednisone. There are herbs in this product that detoxify the liver, and help with energy and most natural chemical reactions of the liver. There are natural herbal ingredients that target RNA and DNA viruses, bacteria and Caprylic Acid that fights fungus (candida). Take up to 6 to 8 a day, for relief, and it is safe to use during the use of Estro Block® and/or birth control pills.

What if I have the flu or the cold, can I take Estro Block?

If you have cold or flu-like symptoms it may be a sign you have low adrenal function and are unable to produce enough cortisol to fight the stress of illness. Get your adrenal function tested by a saliva or urine test for cortisol. When you’re improving the ratio of hormones, if the anabolic levels increase above the catabolic levels, Estro Block® will not solve the deficiency of adrenals. The solution will be to support your adrenals with Adrenal DMG™ along with the use of Liv DTox™ and get additional daylight exposure on your skin to stimulate improved adrenal function. You will likely notice improvement in your energy regulation as well

I just purchased some 175 mg Milk Thistle to take with the Estro Block® — Why exactly is this recommended?

Some people recommend Milk Thistle to help the liver through the detox process. This is not necessary for everyone but may help some.

I have a stubborn case of acne. Can I take higher dosages and support supplements?

Some people may break out if their liver is functioning below normal. Correction in estrogen hormones can increase the need of the liver to process out chemicals and hormones. Use Estro Block® in combination with Estro Block Cell Stabilizer on (will be available on Amazon soon as Liv D’Tox™). Take 1 in the am and 1 in the pm. For better results with Estro Block®, space each capsule 4 hours apart. If you are under 180 lbs. take initially 3 capsules per day spaced 4 hours apart. If you are over 180 lbs., take 6 capsules (2 capsules every 4 hours). Look to do this program for a minimum of 3 months before lowering the amount. Adrenal DMG is also a potent methylator which assists the liver in processing over 20 different chemical reactions.

What will Stay Young™ provide me in my fight against acne?

Stay Young™ has the necessary full B12 and folic acid spectrum for healthy skin. Stay Young™ also supports healthy nitric oxide levels to help counter oxidation and free radical damage. Free radical damage leads to aging of the skin and can worsen acne. Stay Young™ also supports healthy chromosome replication which improves the length of the telomeres to slow the aging process.

Will zinc and vitamin D3 help my acne?

Yes, if your levels are low, then supplements such as our TestroVida Pro™ with Zinc and Vitamin D3 with probiotics will help.

You mentioned TestroVida Pro™, can it be used with acne?

Yes, after about two or three months, when you have stabilized your estrogen levels with Estro Block® or Estro Block Pro®, and if you are taking Adrenal DMG™ and or Liv DTox™, then experiment with adding TestroVida Pro™, as it is generally excess DHT levels rather than testosterone that causes acne. TestroVida Pro™ has no testosterone in it, nor DHEA as other so-called T\testosterone boosters. This all natural herbal approach will allow your hormone levels to reach youthful levels without becoming excessive. That way you can enhance your libido, sex life, and firm up your body while maintaining healthy skin.

Will iodine help my skin?

Yes, in most cases if you are low in iodine then RAD Iodine can help support healthy levels and help the skin. Occasionally we have some people who have thyroid imbalances so severe they need T3, and T4 from a prescription item called Westhroid. Once these people achieve balance, along with the other hormones in balance, they will see their skin improve.

Can I just take DHEA instead of Estro Block®?

A.DHEA in oral form, typically taken in amounts of 20-50 mg. has been known to cause acne. Ray Sahelian, MD, states that amounts exceeding 5 mg orally should be avoided. Additional evidence shows that DHEA tends to be effective in the form of acne that appears in patients that have autoimmune conditions such as lupus. In this case, it is also necessary to take Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), which can be helpful in reducing acne. Research indicates that taking DHEA in trans-dermal or cream form is safer even up to 10 mg per day with less likelihood to convert into other hormones that tend to aggravate or cause acne.

I’ve been using this for over a month and I have not seen any changes to my hormonal acne?

Your hormonal levels depend on the amount of toxins in your body, the foods you eat, your body weight and your daily exercise habits. Although some people see results as quickly as one or two months, because of all these factors, you may want to increase your capsule serving size to achieve results within a reasonable time of 2-3 months.

I’ve been using this product for about two months now and still waiting to see if it works. Also, why is my urine orange?

It is perfectly safe to increase or even double your capsule servings to see quicker results. You may notice as Estro Block® detoxifies your body, the color of your urine may change temporarily releasing an orange/brown color. This is normal and is a good sign the product is working. Some have stopped taking Estro Block® and then returned to take it .The dark orange color occurs again for a short time, although a change in color of the urine doesn’t always happen. If you are concerned about the urine orange color, consider increasing your hydration to at least 8 glasses or more a day and reducing your meat and dairy intake.. Support the use of this product by improving your food selection to include more leafy greens and raw vegetables such as kale, napa cabbage, and bok choy.

Does dirt cause acne?

No, dirt is not associated with acne. Office workers have just as much acne compared to construction workers exposed to a lot of dirt and grime. Beauty starts from within, and your skin is the organ that releases toxins and protects you from harmful bacteria or dirt. Just wash with chemical-free bath items. Some people rinse their face with filtered purified water and have noticed some improvement in their skin over using harsh tap water and soaps. There is an interesting movement called the caveman regimen following some of the suggestions from Tracey of the Love Vitamin. They choose not to wash their face for 30 days to prove that some of these harsh chemicals are actually contributing to acne.

See for Nick’s picks of the best products that are chemical free to clean your skin.

Are all skin care products for acne good for my skin?

No, even skin creams have chemicals that alter hormones and can affect your skin and cause acne.

52. Q. Will rubbing or friction cause acne?

Yes. Bra straps, backpacks, and chin straps can cause inflammation at the site of the hair follicles, and, with sweating or pressure, can cause acne.

Are my genetics and family history the main cause of my acne?

Studies on identical twins compared to fraternal twins show an 80% correlation to genetic factors related to acne. However, the good news is that when twins of the same genetics both change their diet and use Delgado Protocol supplements they will get equally good results. This improvement in skin happens because hormonal balance and Estro Block® will provide the correct solution to override one’s genetic tendency of having acne.

How many capsules of Estro Block® should I take per day?

Depending on your body weight, start with 1 or 2 capsules a day. If you are over 180 lbs., consume 3 or 4 capsules a day. It is best to space out each every 4 hours instead of taking 4 capsules all at once. They can be taken with or without meals.

Should I begin with the directions on the bottle or something else? I have read about people taking more than written so I just want to make sure.

The effective amount can vary from person to person depending on body weight and other factors, yet we find it is perfectly OK to use a higher initial amount (4 to 6 capsules a day), until you find the acne condition clears up, then back off to what amount is suggested on the bottle for maintenance. Estro Block® has not been shown to interfere with and is safe to use with birth control, and will only serve to provide benefits and protection; it is as if you ate 2 to 4 lbs. of raw cruciferous vegetables a day. It is also beneficial to include more raw vegetables such as baby bok choy, napa cabbage and brussel sprouts or broccoli in your diet.

What suggested serving size is best for Estro Block Pro® Triple strength?

In more severe cases of acne, obesity (20 lbs. or more above your ideal body weight), PCOS, hirsutism, aggression, depression, fibroids, cysts, uterine cysts, endometriosis, or enlargement of the prostate or breast, start with 3 capsules a day spaced out morning, noon, afternoon (or as recommended by your health professional). After one week, if tolerated without any allergic issues, increase to 4 or 6 a day by adding and evening/bedtime dose for at least two months or until symptoms reduce or disappear.

Does Estro Block® always have to be taken with a meal?

It is ok to take Estro Block® with or without a meal. A meal may help the absorption.

I suffer from pretty severe headaches in general but noticed that since taking the Estro Block® my headaches have gotten worse. Is this a side effect that others have suffered from?

Drink plenty of water and hydrate. Sometimes the detoxification process can give a headache to those that are sensitive. Are you drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day?

What if Estro Block® makes me break out?

It is a rare occurrence for people to break out using Estro Block, but if they do (or are concerned about it), they should take some added steps. Hormonal acne responds best to improvements in the diet along with supplements. Eat more foods like rich cruciferous vegetables to improve hormonal balance. We also suggest you follow a Simply Healthy diet – low in oils, meats, and dairy and rich in whole foods.

What tests in saliva or blood hormones will detect the risk of acne?

High level of androstenedione, high free testosterone, and excess levels of DHEA, excess Estradiol, or excess estrone in saliva or blood all have been found to cause acne. We find the 24-hour urine test for hormones to be the most accurate in detecting harmful estrogens (16aOHE) and their effect on androgens which leads to acne. We offer this test, yet most doctors rarely do the test because they haven’t been trained to do urine tests as much as they depend on blood tests. The goal is to achieve balance, not too high or too low, and a proper ratio of each of the hormones working together.

Will these saliva, blood or urine lab tests always be the most sensitive way to guide me to improve my skin and health?

No, your lab tests may be “normal” and you may still have acne. There are more sophisticated tests that can measure enzyme activity in the skin which increases the conversion of hormone metabolites such as DHT, androstenedione, Free Testosterone or Estrone in the skin. These types of tests are only done in research labs.

What other lab tests are needed to monitor to reduce acne?

The tests in the blood for SHBG (high levels tend to reduce acne), insulin (high levels increases risk of acne), luteinizing hormone LH, glucose and lipids which include triglycerides (high levels of fat in the blood cause the insulin to become desensitized which will increase the risk of diabetes, lupus, and acne).
